Format of the ADRT
This training programme has been designed to offer a self directed learning web based package to support personal and professional learning needs for staff involved in supporting potential patients / clients wishing to or have made an ADRT. It is in modular form, containing many prompts / links in order to facilitate individual learning. Progression through each module will improve knowledge and skills, challenging existing attitudes. The level of competence achieved by Health and Social Care Professionals will be measured in accordance to each organisations individual competency framework.
Each module may include:
  • Introduction
  • Information
  • Audit prompts
  • Reflective learning exercises including ethical dilemmas
  • Video clips of simulated clinical film scenarios
  • Written case studies
  • End of module true and false questions and answers
  • At the end of this self directed training programme trainees will have achieved a level of knowledge and skill to be able to use the ADRT Specialist Guidance in every day practice.
